Just Added to our Portfolio:
Caitlan and Andrew's Wedding Invitation Suite
It's been a lovely 24 hours since I popped Caitlan and Andrew's invites on the site yesterday, here's a little from the portfolio write up: "Caitlan and Andrew's invitation suite will forever be a favourite of mine because it's design focus was not only centred around music, but HEAVY METAL MUSIC, which is Andrew's favourite. Even though black, skulls and Metallica ninja stars do not usually run synonymous with weddings, I think this is what makes this suite all the more special. And let it be said that Caitlan is an amazing woman to forgo the typical for this project, which became a celebration of her future husband (on her specific request) and their relationship together, the best grounds for any design project."

Great things come from projects that are a little less ordinary, it's certainly the point where I feel the most creativity is possible - I also feel very inspired by the simple and genuine stories of love that I hear every day from the clients I work with, and Caitlan and Andrew were no exception. Memories from this project include watching almost the entire first season of Fringe whilst trimming album sleeves with scissors, perforating each folded piece, and making fifty or so extra vellum envelopes by hand when I realised the supplier I purchased the original lot from had closed. Equally enjoyable were the emails back and forward with Caitlan - if I could have clients like her for every job I think I'd be living the dream.

It was with great delight that I checked my favourite blogs this morning and saw that this project had been mentioned on Oh So Beautiful Paper, which is undoubtedly my favourite wedding invitation blog. I actually leave it til last as some kind of delicious reward, every morning whilst I'm catching up on what happened in the world whilst I was asleep, the exact same thing I do with roast potatoes at dinner!

I am equally delighted to announce that It's A Date is now listed on Wedding Invite Love, a site I devoured when it first launched - full of beautiful invitation designs to inspire from around the world.
What a great start to the day. Onto the next project, but as you can imagine, it's with a massive smile on my face!
