Just Added to our Portfolio:
.... Heaps of Stuff!
Mass update to my portfolio as of yesterday: over the weekend, my To Do list mainly revolved around getting a few jobs printed to shoot pictures to put online. I never, NEVER print extras and this is why I have to do them after the fact, in a big lot. Every invitation job I complete, I think, okay, and this quantity includes a few extras for the portfolio... but it never happens - I need the extra prints for something else, or I just don't print them at all. I believe it may be because these little critters tend to get quite fiddly and elaborate, and when you've finished cutting out 120 record sleeves, or hollowed out 40 or so Mills & Boon books, or assembled over 100 paper CD cases, you just don't have the energy to make it five more. I never learn my lesson. Making the extras turns into a big job as a result, but it is a nice excuse for a little meander down assembly memory lane (often with a little bit of refinement, whoops!)
So, the four projects I put up on the site are as follows... (I've picked my favourite picture from each):
Melinda and Ron's Thankyou Card
A vintage photo wallet style card, complete with negative strip pocket.
Charlie's 1st Birthday Party
A collection of goodies I made for Charlie's birthday party, including invitation, party hats and lolly bags.

Rhiannon and Tom's Engagement Invitations
An intricately trimmed invitation designed around the couple's engagement story in Venice.

Kim's Bollywood Birthday Invitation suite
An elaborate boxed birthday invitation, each was placed on a handmade silk pillow for posting! The suite consisted of a Save the Date, main Invitation and matching Thankyou card.

In other news, I'm on Pinterest, which has become something of an addiction. I'm uploading a few projects there, as well as anything that catches my eye that I see the shimmer of inspiration in! I am particularly fascinated with beautiful work spaces at the moment, considering my various studio-spruce-up activities, so you'll no doubt spot a lot of additions to that particular board. I love Pinterest: it never fails to get the design part of my brain kick started.
