It's A Date Launches Our Badge Making Service!
You may have spotted a few cute little button badges as accessories in some recent invitations It's A Date has put together: for years, I've had three different badge presses here in the studio, happily living under my cutting table, and every so often, a client requests to add some badges with their monogram, elements, illustrations or colours to their suite. They're always received really well by guests (who often end up wearing them to or at the event!), and they do make a perfect pairing to your detailed invitation designs, whether they be a little bonus inclusion, or a favor for your event. I thought I'd take this opportunity to tell you a little more about our badge making service and how badges can be used in your special day!

My presses can make three sizes: one inch round (which is probably the most commonly sized badge size you'll find), one and a quarter inch round (just a little bigger) and one and a half inch square (a little bit different!). Here are a few examples of them in our portfolio:

The most recent project we used badges for was Caitlan and Andrew's suite: their design led to badges easily, as button badges are used quite often as music/concert merchandise. Another invitation suite that included badges was Lisa-Marie and Jay's suite: each badge related to an interest or passion of Lis and Jay's, as well as a badge for their initials and their "The Bride Wore Red" custom type.

Erin and Ryan opted to have a button badge decorate each of their favor boxes at the reception, and most guests ended up wearing the badges for the night!

Pinterest Inspiration Board
I am slowly compiling a collection of button badge ideas for events on Pinterest in a board called Button Badge Love - I am also trying to credit the designers of each badge (which can be tough, the internet is a big place!)... for the moment, a little blanket message: I DID NOT DESIGN ANY OF THE BADGES ON THIS BOARD. If you like a concept you see, I would be happy to discuss the idea with you further and how to make the result personalised to you, however, if you love the design as it is, I'd recommend getting in touch with the specific designer mentioned to chat further with them.

I hope this post may inspire you to consider badges for your event! They really are great fun and the perfect way to continue your design story throughout your party. So if you are stumped for the perfect little extra, why not get a badge made!
